While we are encouraging guests to stay on the resort for the duration of their stay, that won't stop you from having the vacation of a lifetime. There are a large number of exciting activities included in your stay, including but not limited to: snorkeling, kayaking, various cooking and craft lessons, various beach sports, table top games, and more!

Before reaching the resort, we encourage you to download the Excellence companion app, which has a list of the resort's restaurant menus and hours, as well as the scheduled activities available for the day.

If you want to go to a paid excursion outside the resort such as scuba diving, archeological visits to Tulum or other cities, or other classes, Alice can help you book them. To discover what activities you can do, you were sent an email by Destination Weddings at the start of April with a link to book excursions. For your convenience, I will add that link below.

First you will select the Excellence collection which will be the middle option circled in the first picture. You will then select the 3rd option for the resort we are staying at, the Excellence Riviera Cancun. This is circled in the second photo.

While we were at the resort, we checked in before our room was ready, and the front desk taught us this neat trick! You can simply bypass the check in on the app by clicking the 'cancel' button. You can choose not to do this step, this is simply what I do.

There are a few "main" areas of the app you should know about, but I highly recommend spending about 30 minutes looking around it and seeing all the amazing things available to you at the resort.

YELLOW HIGHLIGHT: This is the suites tab, this houses info about room service, cleaning, safes, minibar, and anything related to your room.

PINK HIGHLIGHT: The entertainment tab houses all the activities, you will see a photo of that menu below. Once you click on the top right "Schedule Activities: tab, it will take you to the schedule of activities for the day. Please note, all of these activities are public and FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Please come early to ensure you are able to participate. Michael and I will be sending you messages letting you know which activities we will be at. Additionally, once you click on an activity, I have selected "Archery" for example, you can click the circled button to get a 15 minute reminder before your chosen activity starts!

BLUE HIGHLIGHT: This is where you find all the restaurants. Please keep in mind dress codes for each restaurant as well as what times they are open, I highly suggest looking into the menus in advance. For breakfast and lunch, Michael and I recommend Oregano or The Kitchen Table. For dinner, we recommend Chez Isabelle or Agave. If you booked an Excellence collection room, you have access to 2 private restaurants. We did not visit the breakfast option, but did try the dinner restaurant, Magna. We waited one hour for a table, and the food was (in our opinion) not much better than the regular tables.
